Rubric for Weather Song

Here is an abbreviated rubric to use for assessing ESL student with reading and reciting.

Remembers Songs, Poems and Chants	· Does not choose to participate in songs, poems and chants · Does not recite these accurately	· Recites songs, chants or poems with others in chorus · Recites some simple, well-practiced chants or songs with prompts	· Participates occasionally with encouragement of teacher · Recites chants, songs or poems practised by the group	· Participates with ease and enthusiasm · Independently recites poems, songs and chants accurately
